Detailed Description
Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (UNS R54520) is a medium-strength alloy offering excellent oxidation resistance up to 700°C and creep resistance up to 480°C. While commonly available in sheet form, this alloy is also highly suitable for applications requiring high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. Ti-5Al-2.5Sn possesses a favorable microstructure but is not heat-treatable.
The Grade 6 titanium alloy bar also features excellent weldability and machinability. This alloy provides good welding characteristics, stability, and high-temperature strength, making it appropriate for applications in high-temperature and high-pressure environments.

Manufacturing & Processing
The Grade 6 Ti-5Al-2.5Sn Titanium Bar presents some machining challenges; however, these can be effectively managed by employing slow speeds, high coolant flow, and high feed rates. It exhibits good weldability and can be welded using methods such as TIG (GTAW) and electron beam welding. Its properties can be optimized through heat treatments like annealing or stabilization.
