Detailed Description
Grade 7 (Ti-0.2Pd) Titanium Sheet is a palladium-enhanced titanium alloy sheet manufactured from commercially pure titanium with the addition of precious metal Pd. While similar to Grade 2 titanium, the inclusion of 0.12-0.25% palladium significantly improves resistance to general and localized crevice corrosion in reducing acid environments, including chlorides, under low pH conditions and elevated temperatures ranging from 180°F (83°C) to 500°F (260°C).
The addition of Pd enhances corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing media. Grade 7 (Ti-0.2Pd) Titanium Sheet demonstrates superior crevice corrosion resistance in high-temperature, high-concentration chloride-containing environments. This alloy sheet finds extensive applications in chemical processing industries where enhanced corrosion resistance is required.
